Understanding Vehicle Status in Road XS

Each vehicle in Road XS is assigned a status based on its usage. For the car scheme (volunteer drivers), the status can be Active, Due to Service, or Out of Action. For DRT (Dial a Ride) or other vehicles, users have the option to define their own custom status.

IMPORTANT:

It is crucial to note that for vehicles other than volunteer driver's vehicles on the car scheme, any added status will automatically render the vehicle unavailable, regardless of whether an Active Status is assigned.

Road XS always assumes vehicles are available unless booked out or marked for service.  You simply just need to add the periods the vehicles are out of action.

Adding a Vehicle Status

Follow these steps to add a status:

• Access the Main Menu
• Go to Vehicles
• Click on Add Status
• Provide a Name (e.g., MOT Test) and choose a color
• Click Add Status

Deleting a Status

To delete a status, follow these steps:

• Follow the same steps as above or simply click Show All Statuses
• Click the Red Cross icon to delete the status

Assigning a Status to a Vehicle

• Access the vehicles list from the main menu
• Edit the specific vehicle
• Specify the Out of Action Periods by indicating the From and To dates and times
• Press Update Vehicle

Assigning a Status to a Vehicle

• Navigate to the vehicles from the main menu.
• Click edit vehicle (the pencil icon).
• Under Out of Action Periods, set the from and to date and time (make sure you use the toggles).
• Click Update vehicle.
