Booking Multiple Passengers on to the Same DRT Bus
When booking journeys, it is important to ensure that passengers are traveling on the same bus or vehicle. By default, Road XS will aggregate bookings across the fleet, depending on the assigned service areas, causing passengers to be spread across the related vehicles running in the specific service area.
However, in a scenario such as where a husband and wife need to travel together on the same vehicle, the admin can book them both at the same time.
This also prevents two vehicles going to the same location to pick people up when one vehicle would be enough.
To accomplish this, follow these steps:
- Click on "Create Journey"
- Select DRT (if the DRT booking form doesn't open by default)
- Add the details of the first passenger's booking
Then click on 'Add Passenger to Journey' (this will display them as 'on boarded' on the right hand side)

- Add the details of the next passenger
Then click on 'Add Passenger to Journey' again, and you will now see both passengers on boarded on the right hand side

Finally, click on 'Create Journey'

Following these steps will book the passengers and they will appear on the same vehicle. This process is not limited to a husband and wife scenario; it can also be utilized for any group of people who wish to travel together on the same vehicle.
