When a Driver’s Phone Can’t Run the Road XS App: What to Do
Sometimes a driver's phone won't accept or be able to use the Road XS app because the phone they have might be too old and have a software version which is too old to support the latest apps.
The good news is there is a workaround for this. The driver can use their phone browser.
To do this they can do the following:
- On the phone browser such as Safari or Chrome for example, they just need to go to the ID of the driver portal such as yourid.roadxs.cloud/driver so if your ID was oxford the url would be oxford.roadxs.cloud/driver
- Optionally save this to the phone home screen (video here: https://youtu.be/lKbsY8hLVaw?si=XtGkPPpW-EEFh8ZB)
- Then just login as usual using the driver login details
The mobile browser version will work the same way as the phone app, but the URL bar will just show at the top instead.

It is worth checking with the driver that their phones are up to date using the latest operating system and app version.
