What To Do If You Can't Book a Passenger Onto a DRT Service Using a Return Journey?

With Road XS, passengers have the capability to book a return journey for a passenger. This functionality allows Road XS to validate the possibility of booking both the outbound and return legs of the journey. If the passenger cannot be booked for either leg of the return journey and no alternative time slots are available, the booking process will be halted.

As an administrator in Road XS, you have access to the schedule for the day and may be wondering why a passenger can't be booked in using the return function. The reality is, that this may occur when one of the return legs is not feasible or just not possible, but could be if you split the way in and the way back.

To do this, you can book the first leg of the journey as an In-Only and the second part as a Return-Only, meaning you can ensure that each part of the trip is booked in where there are gaps.

This approach may require additional effort from the administrative side, but it allows passengers to be booked on even when a Return booking is not possible.
