Appointment or Drop Off Times Changing When Allocating a Driver

If you have a journey where when allocating a driver and the appointment times are changing, this is caused by the system getting confused.

It's confusing because when the initial journey was created, a driver would have been allocated with a pickup time entered and the journey was good to go.

However, somewhere along the line, the appointment time may have been changed.

Here's an example of this happening:

For example, imagine the original appointment time/drop-off time was 11:30am.

A driver is allocated to pick up the passenger at 11am to ensure they get there on time.

However, the passenger's appointment or drop off time changes (due to an appointment rescheduled), and their new appointment time/drop-off time becomes 10am.

The drop-off time is now before the driver's pick-up time.The system now gets confused about the pickup time entered for the driver, and so gets confused and dumps an odd time out.

Solution

To resolve this, you just need to update the driver pickup time first. You can do this by unallocating and re-allocating the driver and then the appointment/drop-off time can be updated.
