School Children Pickups for School Runs Using DRT

If you are using Road XS to transport school children for school runs and utilizing the DRT service to pick up children at specific stops and times, we recommend the following steps:

• Register the student's name in the system.
• Assign the bus stop where they are picked up as their home address (you can also use the what3words location to pinpoint this exact stop).
• Indicate in their profile that they are eligible for a home pickup.
• Enter their booking into the system for the required pickup time, and the system will pick them up from that stop at the specified time.
• If other students are also picked up from the same stop at the same time, the system will group them together. Road XS will then show a group of children/students being picked up from the same location at the same time.
• This approach allows you to identify who is on the bus and ensures that it is within the vehicle's capacity.

Additionally, this process means that the driver does not need to know the actual home location of the children and students.
