How to Add a Passenger Loading Time

When creating journeys, there may be passengers who require additional time to board the vehicle, such as those with mobility issues or in wheelchairs. This factor can impact the estimated arrival times for these passengers at their destination.

Road XS provides the option to specify a loading time for individual passengers, if necessary. This loading time is then added to their overall journey duration.

To enable the passenger loading time, please follow these steps:

• Access the passenger profile via the main menu or search
• Choose 'Edit Passenger Details' from the left-hand side
• Scroll down to the 'LOADING TIME (MINUTES)' section
• Specify the appropriate loading time for the passenger

Subsequently, on each journey created, this loading time will be factored into their total duration. An icon will be displayed next to their name in the journey overview to indicate that a loading time has been applied to their pickup.

Please Note:

For DRT services, loading times are already considered for passengers in the DRT settings meaning the above is not required.  This will only add additional time to your DRT stops and cause issues with the route optimisation and automation.
