Managing a Driver's Availability
To modify a driver’s availability, follow these steps:
- Access the main menu and choose ‘Drivers’
- Alternatively, locate the driver by entering their name in the search bar
Once on their profile, navigate to ‘Availability’ in the left-hand menu.
Updating Their Availability:
- Specify the date range and the corresponding weekdays for the unavailability
- Additionally, indicate the specific time when they are unavailable. For instance, if they are unavailable from 10am to 1pm but available from that time onward. This should be set in the Start and End time fields, even if it spans multiple days. Adjusting the slider to the start and end of the day is also an option for convenience.
You can now incorporate a 'Do Not Disturb' feature to avoid direct disturbances while on holiday.
Below is the appearance of these options in the driver portal and admin side:
You can observe that they can designate themselves (or be designated) as 'busy' or 'DND' (Do Not Disturb). This means they may not wish to be disturbed during a time when they are available (I know, a bit of a catch-22!) or when they are unavailable but prefer not to be disturbed.
You can simply select Yes for either option and the changes will be applied accordingly. Look at the image to see 'Busy' set to Yes and the second row showing Busy and DND enabled?
Important:
To select an entire week, ensure that each day of the week is selected and the corresponding time is entered.
