Service Areas Explained

The service area feature in Road XS enables users to enhance their community engagement and segment data access.

For instance, users can create specific service areas such as 'Medical' and 'Social' and allocate drivers, passengers, and vehicles accordingly. In the admin settings, different team members can be assigned to these sections, allowing them to only view relevant people, vehicles, and journeys.

This functionality facilitates the rapid expansion of transport services while maintaining overall control.

Setting Up a Service Area

Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Main Menu
  2. Go to Settings
  3. If your access rights allow, configure Service Areas
  4. Add a title and a color
  5. Save Changes

Allocating Passengers, Drivers, and Vehicles to Service Areas

Once service areas are established, users can allocate passengers, drivers, and vehicles accordingly.

The process remains consistent throughout.

For example, to add a passenger to a service area:

  1. Access the passenger profile
  2. Click on 'Edit Passenger Details'
  3. Scroll down to service areas
  4. Select the relevant service areas for the passenger
  5. Save the changes

As a result, the passenger will be assigned to the specified service area.

Allocating Staff/Transport Team Members to Service Areas

Allocating staff or transport team members to a service area follows a similarly straightforward process. This is crucial in ensuring that staff members have visibility over relevant journeys.

Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Main Menu
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select Admin Users
  4. Click on the edit pencil icon (or add a new admin)
  5. Under Service Areas, add them to the relevant service areas
  6. Enter your password to confirm the change
  7. Save Changes

Subsequently, the admin member will be successfully added to the specified service area.
