Whilst we strive to ensure Road XS software is of the highest quality, there may be occasional discrepancies that arise.

These discrepancies are commonly referred to as bugs, but don't worry, we're here to help!

Due to the collaborative nature of Road XS, reporting any issues not only assists us but also benefits other users of the software. Your input is valuable to us!

Causes of Software Bugs

There are several reasons why bugs may occur, including:

  • An update causing an issue with another function of the software.
  • Browser updates occasionally causing issues with cloud software solutions, as Road XS operates through a browser.
  • Security updates potentially impacting functionality.
  • Software releases not working as anticipated once in the live environment.
  • Unforeseen impacts resulting from the complexity of an update.
  • Occasional simple programming errors, although rare.

Each bug is unique and requires individual investigation, so your report is vital!

How to Report a Bug

The Road XS team benefits from having comprehensive information about the bug, as it enables us to expedite the release of a fix.

For each bug, we will likely require the following information:

  1. The journey ID
  2. The steps taken that led to the bug
  3. Any additional information about the bug, such as when it began occurring and for how long.
  4. Screenshots and any screen recordings.

We may request additional information if necessary, but your initial input is incredibly helpful!

To report a bug, you can either email [email protected] or use the support widget, click the Ask tab, and email us through the form within the Road XS software.

At times, it is particularly beneficial for us to view the bug from the user's perspective. Not all users have access to screen recording capabilities, but fortunately, you can record your screen using this link:
